Biker101.com- If you live in Atlanta and you ride a motorcycle, chances are you have heard of the Dangerous Curves MC. This group of women motorcyclaist is made up of professionals from various backgrounds, and share a common bond in the love of motorcycles, family and children.  This female only MC club gets around….’er..gets around in support of many Atlanta area motorcycle charity rides and events that is.  Their contributions to those in need throughout GA may never truly be known, but their Annual Curves for Kids ride has certainly raised thousands on its own.

Normally held around  November, “Curves for Kids ” has become one of Atlanta’s most popular annual motorcycle events.   Please check back with Biker101.com and we will post the dates for the ride as soon as they become available.

We encourage all Atlanta area bikers to get to know The Curves.  Here is a little more about them taken from their website.

Dangerous Curves was established in October 2002 by the “Super Six” founding members. We are an organization of family-oriented, female motorcycle riders who help foster, encourage and support women motorcyclists. Personal growth, development, self-respect and self-confidence are promoted while we further the principles of safe motorcycle riding.

We recognize the importance of investing and giving back to the communities where we work and live. Our primary fundraiser is our Curves for Kids Ride held each year in November. Our goal is to provide a wonderful Christmas to as many families in the Atlanta area as we can.

As we go into our 8th year, we are widely recognized as the leading female riding organization in the Southeastern United States. We’re having a positive influence on female riders all over the region including gals in FL, NC, SC, TN, AL and GA. We’ve been featured numerous times in Full Throttle Magazine, Accent Gwinnett Magazine and FOX5 Television.

We’ve ridden to places all over the United States including Sturgis, SD, the Colorado Rockies, Salem, MA, New York City and Washington, D.C.

The loop

A must ride when in Florida. Mix sunshine, open road, and graceful curves with spanish moss covered trees and you have the makings of a memorable ride!. It’s the famous “Loop” and for Bikers everywhere, it’s a riders dream. The Loop is approximately 22 miles long and a must for riders who enjoy an open road and Florida’s natural beauty.

The Loop begins with a easy northerly ride starting at the foot of the Granada Bridge on John Anderson Drive in Ormond Beach. Traveling North, riders are greeted by a cealing of trees all the way to Highbridge Road where they hang a left (to go west) and go over the bridge and the Intracoastal Waterway (the Halifax River). There are several places to stop along the way and just enjoy the Florida countryside. After more winding turns, you’ll reach Walter Boardman road where you will make another turn that takes you further west to Old Dixie Highway. When you reach Old Dixie Highway, take another left (to go south) toward Ormond Beach.

If you haven’t ever taken the Loop, the

Ride Tip:  Check out Ormond Park and the Fairchild Oak tree – one of Florida’s oldest living Oaks. Bring your camera, and enjoy your ride.
